7.45pm

The Golden Goose Theatre

How does language shape our relationships? Can fewer words convey deeper meaning? Why would the government limit a whole population to only 140 words a day?

Amidst this constraint, activist and songwriter Oliver and trainee barrister Bernadette, navigate the challenges of expressing love, frustration, and everything in between within the confines of their allotted words. As they grapple with the impact of the Quietude Bill on their relationship, questioning the essence of communication, the power of silence, and the significance of language in human connection.

Premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015 and just off its West End run, Lemons is coming to Southside.

This production is directed by Emma Crocombe following her award-winning production of Consent in 2023.

We are excited to be performing at the new venue of the Golden Goose Theatre in Oval, a space affiliated with Kennington's The White Bear Theatre.
